Spend the day watching the cruise ships sail in and out of the harbor as you sun yourself on the rocks, or descend the stone steps into the sea;
you’ll feel a bit like a Greek god or goddess taking these stairs because the stone evokes an ancient sensibility.
This beach has a swath of white sand at its periphery, merging into predominantly rocky areas along the shoreline. It is varied and fascinating, and the rocks are ideal
perches to sit an watch the oceanic world go by.
The ubiquitous Cozumel beach bar and restaurant is right on the beach, offering fish-based dishes, cold beer and margaritas. It’s a fine place to stop for refreshments
after a day of snorkeling and scuba diving, available throughout this beach area and its offshore reefs.
Very close to San Miguel de Cozumel, Sunset Beach competes with the town for evening pleasures; its sunsets draw tourists and locals away from the bars and dining
establishments in town for the beauty of the late-day magic.
Sunset Beach is often the first place that cruise ship passengers see when they disembark at Cozumel, and it’s a beautiful sight with the quaint restaurant, the mixed
elements of nature and the sparkling blue water. Spend the day here and then stay for the sun’s magnificent evening performance.
